Hasidic

Describes the Hasidic movement, a branch of Haredi Judaism that started in 18th-century Eastern Europe around charismatic rebbes like the Baal Shem Tov. Not every Haredi Jew is Hasidic. Satmar, Chabad, Bobov, and Ger are all Hasidic dynasties, each with its own rebbe, court, and customs, while the Litvish yeshiva world is Haredi but not Hasidic at all.
