Mizrahi

Jews from the Middle East and North Africa, from communities in Iraq, Yemen, Iran, Syria, and elsewhere that predate the Sephardi migration out of Spain by centuries. In casual use, "Sephardi" often gets stretched to cover Mizrahi Jews too, mostly because they share some liturgical customs and both stand apart from Ashkenazi tradition, but the histories and the people are distinct.
