The Hillel Director on the Poster

Flyers at the University of Oregon called Lenny Steinberg an "enemy of the people."

Someone put the Oregon Hillel director's face on a poster. Flyers around the University of Oregon campus showed Lenny Steinberg's photo under the banner "enemy of the people" and called for "Hillel off campus." Steinberg said they left him "sad, angry and scared." University President Karl Scholz wrote that the flyers "promoted isolation and fear." 1

A Kuwaiti man got life for trying to get into Israel's London embassy. Abdullah Albadri, 34, was sentenced Monday to at least 20 years. Armed police stopped him at the perimeter in April 2025. Hero: Jeff Smith. The constable was guarding Sons of Jacob synagogue in Belleville, Ontario, on Yom Kippur when a gunman opened fire on him. Seriously wounded, Smith returned fire. He's still hospitalized. Antisemitic flyers have since turned up nearby, and a GoFundMe for his recovery has raised nearly $1 million. 4

Villain: Saritha Komatireddy. Letitia James's Republican challenger, who has promised a "state of emergency" over antisemitic hate crimes, posted that she "enjoyed stopping to speak with the men of Israel United in Christ and hearing their perspectives." The Black Hebrew Israelite group's leaders called Jews "the devil" in a 2020 sermon, per the ADL. She deleted it from X but not from her campaign site. A candidate asking for Jewish votes should be able to explain what she enjoyed about the perspectives of people who call Jews the devil. 5
