Privacy
Last updated August 21, 2026.
The short version: we run a newsletter. We collect what we need to send it and to understand whether anyone is reading it. We do not sell your data, and we do not hand it to anyone whose business is following you around the internet.
If you subscribe
We have your email address. It lives with beehiiv, our email provider, and we use it to send you the newsletter. beehiiv records the normal email things: whether a message was delivered, whether it was opened, and which links were clicked. That is how we learn which stories landed. Every email has an unsubscribe link, it works immediately, and nobody follows up to ask why.
When you visit the site
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It sets cookies and collects the usual analytics data: pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, browser and device type, and where you arrived from. We read it in aggregate. We are trying to learn whether Tuesday outperforms Thursday, not who you are.
You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or any content blocker, and the site works exactly the same.
The iOS app
As of this update, the app collects nothing: no account, no analytics, no identifiers. It fetches the same public content as this website. If you turn on the daily reminder, that notification is scheduled on your device, and we never see it.
If we add analytics to the app later, we will say so here and update the privacy disclosures on the App Store listing before that version ships.
What we will not do
We will not sell your personal information. We will not rent or trade the list. We will not use what we know about you to build advertising profiles, and we will not hand your data to data brokers. If we ever run a sponsor, it will be the same message in everyone's edition, not an ad aimed at you specifically.
Changes
As this grows we may add tools that measure how the site and the app get used, or services that help us run the business. When that happens we will update this page and the date at the top before the new tool goes live, and anything that meaningfully changes what we collect gets said out loud in the newsletter too.
Your data, your call
Want to know what we have, or want it gone? Email info@thechutzpahchronicles.com and we will take care of it. A person reads that inbox.
